The paintings of Anne Veronica Siefert (aka Anne Siefert-Sellinger) encompass the traditional media of Oil paints on linen or canvas, pastels and/or watercolors, gouache, charcoal and pencil on paper.

 

Her Subject matter includes still-life, landscape and figurative work.

 

Formal training based on classical methods, theory, and media are representational in manner.  The still-life pictures are painted in the studio directly from the subject.  The landscapes are painted en plein-air style (on-site) and in most cases, the imagery is from upstate New York or the farms of Connecticut.  Her figurative work is based on the live model.
